All Round Success at Caterham
ALL ROUND SUCCESS AT CATERHAM
Results day has seen another year of success at Caterham. The overall A Level pass rate was excellent; with one in five students receiving an Unconditional offer from their University of choice this year.
A WELCOMING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Elliot Mercer, Head Boy, who achieved AAB in Music, Drama and Psychology comments:
“What makes the Sixth Form work so well is the balance of focus on academic achievement and developing skills outside of the curriculum. I have applied and received offers from the very best universities in my field. Being in a friendly and inspiring environment enabled me to achieve more than I thought I could, and motivated me to strive for more success.”
The school also has an excellent track record in welcoming new students. Donya Mojtahed-Zadeh gained AAA Psychology, Geography and Philosophy adds:
“Caterham is a really diverse, dynamic sixth form with a really friendly atmosphere. I’m glad I came here, and I think every student would benefit from their experience here too!”.
Caterham supports students to achieve their dreams whatever they may be.
“Sixth Form is a safe environment that provides every student with lots of various opportunities in order to succeed. Students are able to establish a nurturing relationship with members of staff in order to make learning interesting and enjoyable as well as providing support for the students in furthering their careers after Sixth Form. After spending 7 years at Caterham, its beneficial learning environment has helped me to pursue a career in something that I extremely love and enjoy.” Amy Winter, Head Girl.
Ramandeep Bhullar and Abdullah Saeed will be starting Psychology (LSB) and Building Surveying (ARU) degrees respectively, after receiving unconditional offers from their Universities during the school year - a sign of the successful progression onto Higher Education by Caterham students.
Other Caterham students will also be taking up a number of sought after Apprenticeships, in addition to following courses in Medicine, Accountancy, Engineering, Law, Sport, Science and Business.
