It is important that gifted Caterham Art students have the ability to work to their highest potential and are given the opportunity to surpass their own expectations of what they can achieve. Lessons are taught so every student of all abilities are challenged and engaged by their work. In addition there is a Gifted and Talented Art Club run by Mrs Castano.
The club are currently working on a 3m x 3m mural to be situated in the Geography corridor. In preparation for working on this ambitious project students visited London Zoo to make first hand observational drawings and then developed a composition based on the work of Henri Rousseau.
Students have democratic creative control over the work they collectively produce and are currently fund raising to pay for a visiting artist to help them produce work for the Sports Hall.
