BTEC Level 3 Sport


Course requirements
At least a grade ‘C’ in GCSE PE or a Merit in BTEC First Diploma in Sport. Active participation is at least one sport at school or club level.
Course outline
This qualification is the equivalent to 3 A’level grades and is accepted by the majority of Universities.

How will I be assessed?
This course is 100% coursework and is ideally suited to those wishing to pursue a sport related course at University or employment. The Diploma is the equivalent of 3 A – Levels and is timetabled for 27 hours over a two week timetable. It covers all aspects of the subject and is assessed by written assignments. Candidates study 21 units across the two years. Units include Anatomy and Physiology, Sports Leadership, Fitness Testing, Sports Coaching, Fitness Programming, Psychology for Sport, Research Methods and Practical Sport.
