Antibullying Week 16th November to 20th November 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are celebrating Anti-Bullying Week 2026, which will take place from 16th to 20th November 2026. Throughout the week, students will participate in a range of activities designed to promote respect, tolerance, kindness and inclusion, helping to create a school community where everyone feels safe, valued and supported.
We will begin the week with Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November 2026. Odd Socks Day is an opportunity to celebrate respect and belonging within our school community. By wearing odd socks, students recognise that everyone is different and that these differences should be valued and respected. The day supports the key message of Anti-Bullying Week: that everyone deserves to feel safe, included and accepted for who they are.
As with all school events, to ensure the focus remains on our values, flags, political symbols and political messaging should not be worn. Students who do not follow these expectations will be asked to change into appropriate attire in line with the school's uniform policy.
Students who wish to take part in Odd Socks Day are asked to bring a 50p donation. The money raised will be donated to the school's Hardship Fund, which provides support to students and families who may require additional assistance. If there is financial hardship please contact the Head of Year or Pastoral Leader who will be able to assist, as we wish every child to have the opportunity to be involved.
Throughout the week, students will also have opportunities to:
- Take part in assemblies and tutor-time activities focused on kindness, respect and positive relationships.
- Learn about the support available if they experience or witness bullying.
- Make pledges that promote inclusion and respect within our school community.
- Celebrate acts of kindness and positive contributions made by students.
At Caterham High School, we are committed to ensuring that every student feels safe, respected and is able to thrive. Anti-Bullying Week provides an important opportunity to reinforce our shared values and remind students that everyone has a role to play in creating a positive and inclusive community.
Thank you for your continued support. We encourage you to discuss the themes of the week with your child and help us promote respect, tolerance and kindness both in and beyond school.
Yours sincerely,
Ms Agyei
