Results 2020
Despite the cancellation of exams in the summer of 2020, at Caterham we were delighted that we continued to improve in the overall attainment at GCSE and in the key subject areas of English and Maths.
In addition, we had great success in the subject areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics with over 40% of students achieving grade 7 or better in all three sciences. French and Spanish achieved some excellent grades with over 30% of achieving grade 7 or better. Art, Music, Drama, Religious Education, and Sociology all achieved 20% or better for grade 7. We were also delighted that in every subject at least 50% of the cohort achieved a grade 4 or better, meaning they could move on to their next stage in education or training with confidence.
In the Sixth Form we were pleased to have a high number of the top grades in Art, Photography, Spanish and Sociology and see an improvement in the overall attainment and progress of all subjects. We were able to ensure that our students went on to a university of their choice. We have moved up two places over all in our ALPS grading for the Sixth Form which is a considerable achievement.
